New to BASE, traveling to US this summer
Hi there

Im gonna do an aff-course this July in Perris and then i wanna basejump right after that! Where can i go and do tha/ baah bullshit :D

I've been skydiving "intensively" since summer 2008 and have around 500 jumps. I've been a reader of this forum for a couple of years now, just out of interest and read all the articles, great book of base etc etc. My interest in base awoke after a year or two in skydiving, so im not one those "I WANNA BASEJUMP NOW HOW CAN I DO THAT?!-guys"
The past year i've been mentally on my way to become a basejumper and i think this summer might be the one where that happens. If not, i'll wait for the opportunity.
- No rush.
Im 28, live in Northern Europe and since my first skydive my life has been about flying. Couple of my friends have been, or are going to Kjerag but this summer i wanted something else and am traveling to US with a couple of whuffos to see NY, and then going by myself for three weeks with my rig around the country.
My decision has now been made to pursue an entrance to the sport of basejumping.

Can someone PM me about FJC's in US. I'll travel anywhere for it.
I can't seem to find any around the time i'm there (Mid july - mid august).
If anyone want to take me GC'ing im totally up for that too. I really don't have any plans for my trip except having shitloads of fun, meeting great people at various DZ's, ring the bell every night and maybe if lucky, get to jump of a bridge somewhere.
I've never been on a GC because there aren't many jumpers in my area. Not that i know of anyway, you're all so secretive about it Cool

Im not here to be something im not. Just reaching out and hope somebody can help out.

My goal is to become a sub-terminal jumper and I have a 1036 ft A in my "backyard" just waiting for me to be ready for it. My progress will be thoughtful and caring. I love my life.

6 - 18 august i'll be in the california state area doing whatever the day brings me, so PM if you're around and wanna grab a beer or something.

Re:
Hey guys

Thank you for the PM´s and response in here. Can´t say i've seen that before Laugh

I´ve been in contact with "one of the guys" at twin falls, and i'm going there 2-5 august for the course and propably stay there a week or two afterwards.
I'm starting to feel the overwhelming excitement!

Thank you for pointing me the right way, and i hope to see you out there someday.

For now the "plans" of my trip has changed and i doubt i will go any other places than Idaho, except when i have to catch the flight home from LA on the 18th Aug.

If there's anyone here from the LA/Twin Falls area, please let me know and i'll bring the beer Cool

take care

Re: [ballonhans] Re:
Hoefully it's OK for me to say Ballonhans completed a very popular FJC course, did many many jumps including a round water landing on a bed sheet sized canopy, and hooked up with a local hottie. I suspect he had fun.

I had the best time of my life! Cool
33 jumps in total, 6 round waterjumps, 5 nightjumps, kayaking, fishing, camping, swimming, cliff-diving, party with the locals, new friends, a little love and a bunch of cool stories from Kathy the river angel.
Coming back to twin as soon as I possible can. What an amazing place, even without the awesome bridge.

Again, thank you all for the help. I'm forever changed.

Stay safe

Does anybody else run those construction lights on a regular basis?

Re: [OuttaBounZ] Snake River
People ran it if they could catch up with the other cars on the way up.
If not, you'll have to wait there for hours and hours. Haha.. Maybe 10 minutes, but feels like forever.
