Stopping at nothing! -Oldest BASE Jumper?
Who is the worlds oldest and active BASE Jumper?

At 40 my desire is jump in as many decades as possible.

This is a start.

So far, I have BASE jumped in four different decades: the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s.

Interesting side note:

In the 1970s, I jumped with Carl Boenish (BASE #4).

In the 1980s, I jumped with Phil Smith, Phil Mayfield and Jean Boenish (BASE #1, BASE #2 and BASE #3).

Haven't made any since 2010 (wife, kid, job, sigh...) but still have my gear, still a current parachutist, and may make some this year if I get a chance.

Oldest alive BASE jumper that I know of, but not active since 95. BASE# 332 I believe he is in his late 60's. Began BASE jumping in the 80's has around 10k skydives and still does AFF, what a badass!

And,.. while we're on the subject of jumping with recipients of low #'s, let's not forget that you were jumping with (BFL#2 )that day, who also holds the distinction of being (NPSBFL#1)... Hope your Mom is doing well, Respectively B.Wink

LOL... I thought about including him, but his BASE # is a double-digit number, so I didn't think he qualified. Funny, though, I knew and/or jumped with a bunch of the low BFL numbers too. Well, maybe not funny, but a fact.

Unimpressed

* p.s. Mom is getting better all the time, tho a bit frustrated with the slower progress of her arm compared to her hip.

I was jumping with this trooper named John back in 2006 when he was learning to jump at the Perrine with Tom Aiello. He was 69 years old at the time, did about 15 jumps while i was there. Although it was very tough for him, he managed to climb out of the valley without any help, refused to quit. The step ladder in the photo was so he could climb over the railing at the exit point. A very inspirational figure.
