Need a rigger in the RI/MA/CT/NH area ASAP
Got a new canopy, dialed in my brake line length, and need a rigger to finger trap and bar tack toggle loops on my steering lines for me so they will work with WLOs (ie: so the knot wont get caught in the guide ring upon release). Quick job obviously, but I need it done in the next week or two before I go on another trip, so any help on finding a rigger in the new england area would be greatly appreciated. My usual guy is too busy.

Anyone have a sewing machine and want to help me out????

as another option...

it's a little more of a pain in the ass with big dacron lines...

but you can finger trap the looped end through itself at the finger trap. then it's locked in place, no need to bar tack. i do it with most of my canopies.

You mean like this?: http://www.sidsrigging.com/...hless_fingertrap.htm

I still dont know if I trust myself to do it to be honest. I mean, I can always skydive on it first and make sure its all good but I am afraid it might be more of a pain in the ass than its worth

also, if you have enough line going back in the finger trap, you will be ok for many jumps with out it being bar-tacked.

i put about 60 jumps on my newest blackjack, when i put on the WLOs, with a loose finger trap before i finally got around to locking it in place.Tongue

no problem.

if you don't have time to mail order one of those tools, head down to your local hobby lobby or a michael's store and buy a large tapestry needle. slightly cumbersome to work with but a lot cheaper and faster to get your hands on
