Re: [RayLosli] Hmm
I can relate. I had a similar experience in Chambers County (I-10 eastbound, headed toward Beaumont) and it is possible that I was screwed with by the same LEO (and I use that term *very* loosely in this case).
The LEO pulled me over for no reason. As I recall, he made some BS claim that I failed to give a turn signal when changing lanes.
The LEO doing all the talking was a black guy. I think he was a Texas DPS trooper and identified himself as being with the "Chambers County Drug Task Force". There was a fat white guy with him that was not in uniform.
The LEO's manner was very menacing, to say the least. After talking a bunch of shit and threatening me, he finally told me to get out of there.
IMO, the idiot has no business owning a gun and certainly has no business in law enforcement.
I don't consider his actions to be a reflection on all LEOs. He was just a psycho that happened to somehow get through the screening process. It happens.
Still, it was the turning point in my attitude toward the "War on Drugs". The war on drugs is a war against the American people. The government has armed thugs kill, rob, harass, threaten, jail, and commit all sorts of heinous and illegal acts in the name of "cleaning up up the community for our children".
I don't smoke, drink, or use drugs, and I was harrassed and threatened with jail by a psycho with a badge. It was a hell of a lot scarier than any contact I have had with any drug user.
Ever since that experience I have been in favor of legalizing *all* drugs and ending law enforcement's campaign of terrorism against honest citizens in the so-called "War on Drugs".
Back to the topic at this thread. I do not assume that the park ranger is a "True Believer" like the LEO that screwed with me. If he is, then he deserves any bad thing that happens to him. Karma is a bitch.
If not, then he is being victimized by the same privileged class who promote the "War on Drugs" while living beyond the reach of the law themselves, and the ranger has my sympathy.
