The Ghost of Base Jumping's Past
Just a poll I thought might be interesting to some of the new guys interested in the sport and I am interested in myself. The last year of my base life of five has been pretty hard with this sport and seen it's ups and down throughout time. Multiple answers allowed.

What about 'Someone you know or met died', wouldn't consider them a 'close' friend.

someone who graciously shares an exit point and helps me out, gets called a close friend in my book.

YMMV

Yeah, I was just trying to keep the answers from being so vague, anyone thats been in this sport for any length of time has a friend thats been through each situation, personal appliance probably better for this I suppose.

True. But what if you've never jumped with them? For example, in '06, I talked to B.L.S. at BD. I introduced myself, we talked about El Cap, then I watched him go in. I can name a couple of more...Unimpressed

Yeah, I spoke with him as well as I was two people behind him in line preparing to make my 1st jump ever as I watched him jump. I'd say a friend would be someone you could bang on the door of at 1:00am and be greeted with a laugh and pleasant punch in the ribs maybe.
