Is High Nose the jump that has the ledge/buldge just below the exit?

No, but it does require tracking to clear ledges lower down.

High nose is the jump that eats the unprepared regularly.

You should rewrite that and just put in

The Valley eats those who think they are ready for it when they are truly in no way of even hiking to catch a cable car to the jugfrau for the top of the jungfrau railway..

High Nose has a lower ledge that requires at a minimum a decent track to clear. If you have a shit track and open 180 you right at the ledge moving super fast. Problem is.. it's a super easy jump to access and one of the tallest.

I have not jumped it, but the exit with the ramp and bulge near the top I believe is High Ultimate.

Again.. sorry to hear about the loss. :(

I am sure Charly was pretty well ready and capable to hike up to catch any cable car in the valley...

This is true.

It is such a sad loss Frown Charly was truly one of a kind, one of the nicest persons I've ever met, it was always a pleasure to meet him as he had the gift of making you happy. His smile will remain in the hearts of so many of us.
May he rest in peace

No, it is a 7 second rock drop on high nose to the big bulge. You're thinking high ultimate which is about 2 seconds to the first big bulge, and then about 10 seconds to the lower ledges.

No, all jumps are based on tracking with tracking suit.

The fact is that some people (not talking about this accident, i don t know the guy at all) start jumping with track pants, but track pants can lead you to a worst track that slick, if you are not used to; and when people are stable and gain distance, there is still a big difference between two people same weight/tall/shape.
So use trackpants as a toy, but not as something that make cliffs safer.

This is very highly true and we discussed this also in the Swiss BASE Association annual meeting last weekend. It is true what Michi said that generally the info provided is under the assumption that tracking gear is used AND the jumper has skill to use it. I highly agree that tracking gear (as any gear) does not make jumps safer, it is the person inside the suit that knows how to fly the gear is what makes things safer.

Play safe all!
