Ticking off an object
Hey guys. Tonight I had a really great jump and it taught me something new. I used to think that when I jumped a new object it was another number. Another access figured out. After tonight, I realized that just like BASE has it's progression, so does each object (any good one for sure). At first I'm mortified and have sensory overload, then a couple jumps later I remember more of the freefall, and then a couple jumps later (especially if I have to turn back a few times on it) I'm rarely nervous or scared when I'm climbing and when I take a break I really soak in the view and am outside my own head. And now I'm really starting to appreciate a lot more of the details and little things about the object (ex. Oh the railing is just the right height that if I put my stashbag/rig on it, I can stand with all the weight off my shoulders....how there are tens of thousands of people within my view but are completely oblivious that it's happening or that things like this are possible and how many things like that I've missed in my life...etc). Anywho, any little things you guys have been noticing/appreciating lately at your oft-jumped objects?
