My names Josh I live in San Antonio, I have never been skydiving but my friends and I are really curious about base jumping and all that good stuff. What? How about the chance to bring the stoke of base jumping to someone who has never even seen a parachute?
I can teach you how to DH longboard if you want.

in the US, BASE jumping frequently requires folks to violate trespassing laws.

so, you are asking people you do not know, to chat about potentially less than legal activity.

does that sound sane?

would not introducing yourself and attempting to build trust get you a more positive response? maybe make yourself appealing in some fashion?

your request strikes many as ludicrous, thus it attracts ludicrous responses. it is nothing new here.

In order for you to ever "see a parachute" you will have to commit to skydiving first! Unless you go the way Em suggested with a TandemBASE. Other than that it will just not happen. So you should make the trip to moab for a tandem base jump from a cliff or contact tandembase.com to go from the perrine bridge in ID.

That's one of the best lines I've read in a long time. Just for that I would at least contact you if I were in San Antonio.

Are there really downhillable hills in San Antonio?

Got a million dollars? Search round on the forums I think there's some guy offering a BASE crash course for a million. And I think he might live near Spurs country. Don't know if he'll give group discounts though.

I live near SA and jumped a few thing here and there. For five thousand dollars ill sell you a parachute and take you for a jump off a building downtown.
