Both my rigs, a Zak2 and Hybrid 2 have excessively long lenghts of webbing on the leg straps, so much so that on my Zak I have to triple it over just to make the length managable. Wanting to know if anyone knows why on earth they would leave so much excess, because I am about to go to my rigger to have half of it removed, just so I am able to comfortably stow it in the front of the leg straps.

My Zak2 doesn't have that problem. What measurements did you order it in? Did you talk with the mfg?

I gave them the exact measurements asked for, namely the diameter of my thigh. the legstrap is an exact fit, its just the excess webbing thats a problem.

The measurement around around the thigh is 'circumference', not 'diameter'. That could be your problem potentially.... If you gave the circumference measurement and said it was diameter, it would explain why it's 3 times too big as circumference is 3.142 times the size of diameter.
Having said that, I have Zak2 and mine are fairly long too. Not quite as bas as yours sound though.

No, the measurements were correct. I just got my mathematical terms switched up. Long day at the office...... Ill email them tonight. Cheers for the replies.

Maybe start working out, grow some muscle around those scrawny thighs!

Seriously if there's excess webbing just chop the extra bit off and end it. If I understand you correctly after tightening your legstraps you have difficulty stowing the webbing? If you're scared to mutilate your harness parts ask a rigger.

This is correct, and this is my intention. I was just wondering if there was some unforseen reason as to why there is so much excess.

My leg straps are very long too, but it aid's in getting the rig on while standing on a small catwalk with others, and removing the rig fast when I need to leave in a hurry.
