Re: [MBA-PATTO] adrenalin base slow slider
Care to elaborate? Could not find anything (on a quick browse) from adrenalin base website on this? Would be interested to hear what a "slow slider" is and what´s the purpose / intended usage of it?

Re: [maretus] adrenalin base slow slider
Maybe it's about the double small mesh that atair makes.

Works great for me. Like the name suggests, it slows down the openings. Two tapes stitched over, left to right. Doesn't effect opening lenght or heading performance much. About 60 jumps i guess. All ws openings.

Re: [odeseni] adrenalin base slow slider
Made a few terminal tracking jumps with this style slider, it came direct from Atair. I found it took the edge off the hard openings I was getting.

Yep, that's the one, originally designed by Robi.

Hm, mine it's diferent. This pictures shows two reinforced tape sewn on it. Mine has no such thing, It's just small mesh but in double layer. I got it from Atair last year, I have just one near terminal jump with it, it felt...nice. Anyone else got more experiece with this kind?

Are the openings on Trolls that firm??? I have a 285, havent taken it to terminal just yet. I will be in Europe in 5 months. Is it worth buying one to have in my gear bag just in case??

have you used it on any smaller cliffs?

Looking at doing a 4-5 second delay with mine tomorrow

Re: [jtholmes] adrenalin base slow slider
thats my concern, i just got one for my OSP 285. i did a 9 second delay with the slow slider once, and it was much softer than a terminal jump with a large mesh which fucking HURT.

if things go as planned this coming weekend, ill be using it on about a 5 second slider up cliff, and im unsure of how quick or god forbid, not-so-quick the slow slider will come down. i guess ill let you all know how it goes, but i have a feeling its not gonna be an issue, and ill pack accordingly.

Re: [TransientCW] adrenalin base slow slider
I've got one on my Troll MDV and I really like it. It feels like the total altitude used up during opening is similar to the big mesh, but just more comfortable.

It would be interesting to compare FlySight data on openings from terminal with the same canopy, but different sliders. I wouldn't be surprised if it uses up less altitude during opening than small mesh despite being called a "slow slider".

The slower the airspeed the less small mesh or extra load tapes will make a difference. Based on my experience with different sliders on different length delays, when under 7 seconds tracking it's all the same.

Let us know what happened.

In regards to the Troll and OSP, with myself having the Troll and a friend with the OSP, all we modify for different jumps is packing technique which works fine. Rolling the nose and slider control is all I found is required.

Re: [OuttaBounZ] adrenalin base slow slider
My first jump with the slow slider on a full 5 or so second delay, I exposed the nose and put on a 42 inch pilot chute instead of the 38 inch PC I would have otherwise used.

The parachute opened fast and hard and with an off heading left. I blame the oversized PC for the off heading and the snappiness.

I won't hesitate to use the slow slider on these shorter delays in the future but if i have the option I will use a normal one...
