Bang some pots and pans around. That'll scare the winged beasts away long enough to get up and off without putting your eyeballs at risk of being pecked.
we have a freestander here that has no active transmission, but cannot be torn down either. Because endangered nesting site. Nothing like having mama eagle dive bomb you while you climb past her nest :) We take care and leave no trace to not damage the nesting site.
