A new idea
I would like to get together with like minded jumpers who would like to explore and discuss a new idea for dealing with legal issues.
I know there are a few attorneys that are jumpers and would love for them to join in and discuss the validity of these ideas. Rick H. I know your aroundSmile

I would like to have regular study sessions and/or discussions privately via secure email or calls. Yeah, I know it sounds boring but the reward may be grand.

Anyone interested send me a PM.

Re: [BASE-Trustee] A new idea
do you have any "requirements" for interested parties?

possibilities include:
- have enjoyed the works of Ayn Rand?
- desire to abolish the Fed?
- think the country need return to the Gold Standard?
- admire Ron Paul?
- think the current president is not legally qualified to hold the office?

feel free to edit the list, or not have one, as you see fit. it is your show.

So are these YOUR requirements? They certainly are not something I would require. Heck, why would I require anything except maybe non-disclosure.

As far as your list, let's see where I can comment.

-Ayn Rand - never read anything from her. Can't comment.
-Abolish the Fed. - No reason to, another entity would fill in the gap with more power.
-Return to gold standard - gold is a good storehouse of wealth. As far a backing of a national currency, I would think there is a better way. I would rather go back to a stand-by-your-word standard.
-admire Ron Paul - I don't see why anyone admires any politician.
- President not qualified to hold office - No, he's fully qualified to run the corporate government.

I sense you are trying to portray me as crazy since most of the things you have listed 'society' looks at as a bit looney. If you look at 'society' though, it's actually more crazy than anything else. Look at how it is lead by the nose by the media. That is crazy to me. Listening and believing the garbage that comes across media outlets.

So I guess you have nothing worthwhile to contribute mr moderator?
I guess those personal attacks in the other thread were ok since it's christmas huh? And your underhanded jabs are ok as well? You did add the winking smiley face guy, so it must have been in jestTongue

The board is full of love and holiday cheer!

Where is the new idea other than to discuss legal ideas and why would anyone be interested in collaborating with you?

I guess it's just a different approach to an old problem.
Maybe people would like to collaborate because they want more for the BASE community or they like to help others, or they like challenges or treated poorly but authorities. There could be any number of reasons why someone chooses to join up and tackle an issue.
I think collaborating helps to solidify as well as weed out ideas and concepts and helps to move projects forward in a more timely manner.

Maybe no-one is interested and that's ok. Just thought I would throw it out there.

I wouldn't have much to contribute at a study session but I have an idea; sue the NPS to gain BASE access to sites like Yosemite. Nothing like a lil' lawsuit to get some attention. I bet the BASE community would help to the tune of at least several hundred dollars.

Re: [BASE-Trustee] A new idea
nope.
your posts have a tone matched in threads discussing the subjects I listed.

as I also stated in the previous thread, there have yet been no personal attacks. no one has questioned anything personal (age, sexual practices, job, name, religion, place of residence, political affiliations, etc.). they HAVE assaulted your public behavior here.

again, I will ask you to play a bit nicer. that is an official request. arguing further violates your contract.

no problem. message me to discuss what you are thinking. please tell me your background in the message. i've been jumping almost 20 years but rarely do it anymore.

Re: [460] A new idea
Back in the early 90's I was invited on a jump from El Capitan, I was told it was going to be a protest to the laws and blah blah and lawyers would be waiting at the bottom and we would show the park service and everyone how it could be, I declined the invite, didn't want to lose my gear and get fined.
One of the jumpers on that fateful day borrowed some gear and ended up going in.
I hope your idea is not something along these lines because that really set B.A.S.E. back a long ways and gave NPS a poster child.

You sound like the same group of douche-bags from "U-Huck" who stole money from everyone with the promise of t-shirts and base jumping.

I'm sure Nic would like either his $$ back or his fuck'n shirt.

And "regular study sessions"..... are you still in high school? And secure email and calls?? I doubt the FBI,CIA and SS really are bug'n our emails or calls.

Could you please clarify what you mean by my posts have a tone that matches other threads? Are you using your own personal biases against these subjects in an attempt to make me look crazy? I'm not really sure why you would bring up all that stuff unless it was, in some way, to try to discredit me and what I may have to say.

Again, I ask, where am I arguing?

Mark, if you or Nic or anyone else has an issue with U-Huck I would suggest you take it up with them directly instead of bitching about it here and jumping on the 'you sound like a douche' bandwagon. By not doing anything about your contract with u-huck you are essentially agreeing that they can take your money and do nothing for it. You bitch about them but you are the one who is at fault for not defending your rights.

Yes, 'regular study sessions' are a good idea in my opinion. I certainly am not going to be able to process all of this information in one sitting. Maybe you are some sort of super brainiac and can just read it once and be good, but I'm just not that good yet.
As far as secure emails and calls go, I guess if you can give me a good reason to not implement these things then I might consider not having them. Sending a regular email is just like sending a post card through the mail. Anyone who wants to read it can so why not put an envelope around the message?

Thank you, I accept your offer to be my personal secretary. I often miss easy punctuation like that and I appreciate the help. Do you have a personal email that I can send some other documents for your to do a once over on?

For the most part, BASE Jumpers that post to these boards are douche bags. I would not waste your time trying to help the BASE community at all. Remember, when you argue with a fool, make sure he isn't doing the same.

Sincerely,
