Looking for help
I know many of us don't have a lot of spare cash lying around, but please consider donating to my former team mate Mike Kirby who recently lost half a foot to frostbite establishing a new route on Long's Peak. He doesn't have insurance and the medical bills are stacking up. Please call me at 910-315-2460 with any questions and I will do anything to help. PayPal is established through my company website at https://www.duganbriggs.com/Mike_Kirby_Fundraiser.html Thank you, and Merry Christmas.

Mike just had a life altering accident. Mike is a 12 year special operations veteran that served in multiple theaters defending our country. After leaving the Army this year to pursue a climbing guide dream, Mike was caught in a surprise snowstorm several weeks ago while attempting a new route on Long’s Peak. Mike and his partner survived, but he is being forced to have half of his right foot amputated from frostbite. Since he recently left the military, he does not have medical insurance and he is unable to work as a guide during rehab. We are trying to find donors to financially help with surgeries and living expenses while he recovers. Anyone who knows Mike understands what a rare and unique warrior he is. We have an obligation to help our military family and any assistance given directly or through contacts will be immensely helpful. Donations can be made through cash, check, or credit card using PayPal. Please contact the office for more details or instructions on corporate donations.
Update-5 Dec 2011-Mike has had his first round of surgery in Colorado and the doctors were able to save a large portion of his foot. He still has a long road to recovery, but the support of friends and family have been instrumental in this process. Please keep Mike in your prayers. We still are looking for donations to cover medical expenses and every dollar is important.
