i am very happy with my Profile/Feather...

i got exactly what i ordered and it performs in every way i expected, only better.

also, it packs super easy without clamps!

what is the function of exposed bridle?

the same function of unexposed bridle.

I have a profile/feather 240 with zp leading edge and i couldn't be more happy with the package. I learned in ITW how much rolling was required to slow the openings a tad, which has worked awesome ever since. Marty was very helpful as well on the phone talking about options and my intended use for it (wingsuiting)

I have the spectra line set and use it only slider up, but just got back from Moab where a certain frenchy was using his dacron lined feather (slider off) the whole time i believe.

The profile is a minimalist harness/container and wouldn't take the same abuse that a normal weight rig would. On the other hand, climbing antennas with it is really nice and the lower profile helps keep it from getting rubbed. Its also nice to have the ultralight rig for long hikes.

All ultralight fabric canopies are like that.

Ive got one of the first profiles, and ive actually been really surprised how well the lightweight material has held up. Ive probably got 200 jumps on mine now and it shows basically no signs of wear. I have another rig with a seven 260 that is what weve called the "prefile" normal size, but single layer lightweight fabric like the profile makeing up about half of the container as a kind of prototype profile. That has maybe 350 jumps in every type of condition, moab, climbing geared up over narly sharp snaggy things, and it has very little wear aside from a little on the leg straps.
