Hello BASE world. Just a quick heads up to the Swiss jumpers. I am going to be relocating to Switzerland in February and will be there for...ehh.. who knows how long. Anyway, will be living really close to Lucerne.

I have a handful of non-jumpers friends in the area, but it would be nice to link up with other jumpers in the area. Tons of questions for you concerning local laws and restrictions, but we can discuss them via PM.(or if others are interested we could post them) Would also like to get involved in other outdoor things besides BASE as well. Highlining, Climbing, Mtn Biking..etc.. Hope to meet some of you soon!

Flummi.. thanks man!! I've jumped the Valley before and I am curious about how the rest of the country views BASE jumping. For instance. I hiked a nice mountain near Luceren when I was there and saw there there were possible slider off jumps from there.. but is that allowed?

I have also heard of a lot of good bridges in the East and was wondering how the authorities felt about us jumping from the bridges. The last thing I want to do is 1. Step into any local jumpers territory without asking and 2. Burn objects or cause problems with the police.

Well, first of all my recommendation would be to take your more detailed questions to PM-mode (or email). you might want to edit your post, the reference to that mountain might be construed by our swiss friends as "site naming" (=which is a bad thing in Switzerland, too).
