SOLD
I bought a $40 kit online, it came with a How-To booklet,
a case, various different picks, rakes, and tension devices.

I only use/need a few of the tools... so I figured to recoup
some of my money and save a fellow BASE jumper some
bucks that I would sell the booklet, case, and some of the
tools I do not use.

Really all you need is the basic idea, a few tools, and then
just time and patience to practice. I suggest practicing on
every pad lock you already own, then your front door.

I sold all of my extra tools.

If you want to buy your own kit check out:

this one is awesome. ive used it to gain access to several buildings. its compact, ergonomically sound, and somewhat concealed when not in use.
this tool with extra tension wrenches for different applications will work wonders for access.
tom remember when i was in miami? this is what i used. i own like 3 of them.

this one is badass too, but not as user friendly or as quick to use. i have used this to gain access .
this is one where security concerns are higher, where you may want to conceal your intent in the even of an altercation.

you have it right though. practice is the main key, no matter the tools you use

Tommy,

I have an easy solution to the whole getting caught thing is easy - just don't get caught !

Don't forget to add a thin blank plastic card to your toolkit for shimming those piss poor latch locks. And some padlock shims.
