Nice flights, although I have a concern. Seems like you (red V3?) are flying quite flat all the way down to the crack and really start diving once you are in it. Be careful man and always fly steep with extra energy in your suit when flying like this. Don't put yourself in a situation where you'll be needing more lift to clear the ground and don't have it! Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think the problem will be from now on that Alex will not have any time to jump with us anymore... :D

its a long way from the exit to the crack, its better to get there with extra height to set up and then fly steep on the entry ie where the proximity flying starts.

Honestly, i almost died on this jump.
Severeal factors contributed to this.
Usually it's a piece of cake for me to fly to the canyon high and save.

-This day it was a unusual weather situation.
It was "bise" , a wind from the east witch creates a huge downdraft on the whole mountain.

-I jumped with one of the very big skydivers comet smoke cans. An airbrake on my foot. I felt the whole flight that something is wrong with my legwing.

-The whole season i jumped my V4. For this jump i choosed the V3 for two reasons. One- the V4 is not jet modified for my bellycam..... and two i feel better in the V3 for very steep diving. I'm sure i flew this suit better last year when i was current on it.

- i was aware during the flight that i'm lower then i wanted to be for the setup. But from my point of view
it was still high enough. Maybe the vision of the flatter V4 glide fooled me. Short after the point of no return i regretted the decision. I stayed calm, flew my suit, aimed for the lowest possible point of the canyon entrance and tried to keep the speed. Lutz , the third jumper on the load was smart enough to turn away. You can see him on the backwards cam.

Maybe there was still some flare in my suit, but not much. I was in full flight a half a meter from the ground. It was close. Way too close.

But in the end, who cares. The video is rad, and that's all what counts

That is so fuckin cool,you must have nerves of steel,do you ever just lose your confidance and call a jump off.Even in good conditions.And if so,do you then go back to easier jumps to build back up? john

Too much information bro... If you guys enjoy occasional 2-way "grinding the crack" before jump that's fine but can you please inform when you guys are feeling like that in the future and I will skip those jumps and take the next cable car. Or the one after that. :D
