Post Bridge Day
With the way my flights have panned out, me and Mrs Macca have a couple of days in WV after bridge day to go be tourists.

Being an 'out of towner', I have no clue what's there and what's worth seeing - so, what would you suggest is a good use of time?

Not looking to jump any other objects, as I suspect the NPS may be quite hot in the local area at that time.

Thanks!

There's not much tourist stuff like sights to see, but there is plenty to do if you like being outside. It looks like the weather gets nice the day after bd as well.. you could get your redneck america on, get a case of beer, go atv'ing and hit the gun range.
Seriously though, grab some flyers from the rack at the hotel and get out there..
We're climbing sunday, you're welcome to join..

Being that we're from the UK - a place where you get arrested for just using the word 'gun' - we'd certainly be keen to hit a range if there's one local, and local law allows non US residents to rent.

Where are you climbing? I'm not super experienced, but could throw my shoes and chalk into my bag just in case - thanks for the offer :)

The whitewater rafting is superb. Check out ACE adventures, they treated us real good on a climbing, jumping, rafting 3 day weekend we pulled off this spring.

Re: Post Bridge Day
-There are two DZ's within 4 miles of the bridge. One has a Caravan.
-Raft the Gauley (Class V stuff), some of the best in the USA.
-Ziplines at Class IV
-Hike to Kaymoor (old abandoned coal mine town very close to the bridge)
-Take the Beckley coal mine tour
-Hike to Longpoint - This is on my "to do" list. If you're standing on the BD exit ramp, Long Point is the large rock that sticks out about a mile away with perfect views of the bridge.
-Jump other bridges/antennas nearby

As a good friend I feel the need to tell you that you sound gay for asking that.
