mark..... I try not to post on here too often because I feel that some may find my over developed sense of humour a little bizzare. I feel that I can get the best out of this website by lurking as even after over a decade base jumping I learn the most by not being involved in these threads but by just reading.
recently I have been reading some of your posts and here are a few things I would like to point out to you.

1. Your current profile picture of you lying down with no clothes on is really scarry... However if you were to use that picture as your profile on dropzone.com it would probably be considered the norm.
2. The inane drivel that seems to accompany all of your posts on here would also on dropzone.com definately be considered the norm.
3. You are a skydiveing student not a basejumper, and as such you really need to check out dropzone.com as on that website skydivers are considered the norm.
4. In other posts you have given me the impression that you don't fit in and seem to struggle to find friends. You really need to check out dropzone.com.

What he is trying to say mark is

People dont have time to read the dribble and this will hurt your process in the future if you want to base jump down the track as they will most likely say he talks shit...

Go and skydive and come back in 5 years when your interested in basejumping instead of wasting everyones time...

anyone reading this website has got to all be on the same journey. The least experienced would be here to learn and the most experienced to maybe disseminate what they have learned and learn more.how can we do this if the forums are cluttered up with irrelevant garbage.

Not only will you learn stuff more relevant to skydiving, you will also find that because of the very nature of the forums your inane drivel will not only be tolerated it will actually be appreciated. If you go to dropzone.com I promise you, you will make friends there.
How can you be part of the 'elite' unless you take the baby steps first.

If you want to start BASEjumping you should start practice..

Besides we dont care if your scared or not skydiving,WE are scared that we are the once ending up giving you first aid or a place you in a bag and tell your mom that her "brave" son wasnt that cool as he panikked as he jumped off a tower..

No one told you not to BASE by time yet but you will get to that point if you dont progress the correct way,spesaly in UK.. Buying a course wont get you jumping when your gear is missing...

No mentor will be able to ingrain the motor memory skills required in an emergency on a BASE jump. Skydiving will train that.

I started BASE with a little over 30 skydives. My first jumps were cliffs. I later (a few years later) broke myself on a BASE jump and if I had more skydiving canopy basic knowledge, my accident would not have happened.

Anyone who claims they can safely jump with so little canopy experience is fooling themselves. I spent an accumulated year on my back recuperating from injuries while BASE jumping. Plan to expect the same or more for you if you don't do it right. Only a fool would do otherwise.

true i started with no skydives and fractured both ankles on my 116th jump
im sure a couple hundred skydives could have helped me avoid that rock on the landing, that an not being a dumb ass and making a low adjustment to miss that little tree

I only started reading this post because i thought "Koh Tarina" (yes I misread it) was some kind of Thai base paradise island i could dream about.

But one thing that makes people "elite" or whatever seems to be that they not only learn ALL the important things but also learn a shitload of things that MIGHT be good to know on the side. So instead of writing poems masked as Thai islands you could read one of these books between your skydives?

I've just done something really mean.
so just after I started a new thread on dropzone.com my computer which is now over 10 years old just died completely so I'm posting this on my phone.
Please can someone go over there and check out the thread I called hibaldstow skydivers , its in the general forums , and then come back here and post a clicky to it in this thread. I can't do this myself on my phone.
As I said in that thread maybe mark still looks up to his instructors enough to listen to them. I realise of course that what with him believing what he does about being 'elite' with his massive 31 jumps it could be too late even for them to get through to him.
On the flip side of the coin maybe we will just get people who know him coming on here or there just to confirm what we already figured out, that far from being 'elite' at anything his inability to listen to what he does not want to hear prefering to believe what he wants to hear makes him in fact a very difficult student. A real challenge for his instructors.
