Bridge day rig for rent
I have a rig for rent for the upcoming bridge day. The setup is a vision velcro container, made for someone 6', but it fit someone 5' 8", and me at 6' 3". The canopy is a superraven 249. Both have less than 15 jumps on them, and are in great shape. The raven opens and pressurizes fast, and shuts down and flairs very well. I jump this rig at 200 lbs, but it's probably better for someone lighter. If you are heavier like me, it is just zippy in flight. Nothing too scary though.

Price is $250 for the first jump, and $50 per jump after that. 100 dollars if you get it wet. I can provide the rig packed for your first jump, or you can pack it if you feel more comortable. Send me a PM if interested.

Re: [cheekybastard] Bridge day rig for rent
Rather than start another thread, I'll post my available gear here as well. I have two rigs packed and ready to go at the moment.

1. Flik 220 in a Vertex2- fits up to about 5'11'' 160lb.

2. Fox 225 in a Reactor- fits up to about 5'9'' 160lb.

If you're interested, contact me at BASE1127 (at) gmail for more info.

Bridge Day - Rig for Rent
Perigee Velcro + ACE 240

I am 6' 2" and 185 pounds,
jumped it once to test it but
both harness and wing would
be better on someone smaller.

Email or PM to discuss details.

so if I jump the rig 4 times and get it wet, can I just keep it after I pay your bill, because that's about what the setup is worth;-)

Not quite, but I get your point.

New price: $200 dollars for the day, 100 if you get it wet. Better? :)

you negotiate like old people fuck.

Re: [cheekybastard] Bridge day rig for rent
You've created a tough predicament for jumpers when they have a few seconds to decide between a boulder field and a $100 penalty.

Re: [base428] Bridge day rig for rent
I thought that was commonplace for rig rentals... am I wrong in that?

Re: [cheekybastard] Bridge day rig for rent
It's pretty rare.....although I'm not aware of every gear renter's rules this year. You have to assume that anyone renting gear is fairly new to the sport and the chances of a water landing are pretty high. I only rent one rig out each year and I would be shocked to see it not get wet.

FYI: 28% of all landings are wet.

$150 if you bleed on it. Cool That should help the decision matrix. haha.

76% of all statistics are made up.

Re: [kcollier] Bridge day rig for rent
so there is a 24% chance that 28% of the jumps end up in the water at bridge day

Re: [cheekybastard] Bridge day rig for rent
I specifically tell people that I getting the gear wet is acceptable and carries no penalties.

The saying is true - "you dry faster than you heal". Being called "Brokeback Jack" for the rest of your jumping days is just not worth saving $100.

Or even better yet, $100 penalty for getting the canopy wet and a $200 penalty for getting injured to the point of requiring an ambulance ride.

I once told a fellow jumper that if he broke a leg trying to stay dry, I would go over to him in the landing area, take off his gear, dunk in the river, and give it back to him.

Re: [base428] Bridge day rig for rent
I was under the assumption it was common practice, but I guess not.

Final offer: 250, all you can jump, get it wet, just don't bleed on it. Fair enough?

At this point, I am probably going to just jump it and get more jumps in. Renting is tough business.

4 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions. Those same people can't even spell statistics.

Funny that the last year has the lowest average # of skydives per jumper, and the highest % of female jumpersSmile

Re: [cheekybastard] Bridge day rig for rent
Sounds reasonable. Funny thing is that everyone has probably rented gear by now. A month earlier and your rig would have been rented in minutes. Cya next week.

Bridge Day - Rig for Rent
My rig rents for $200 for 1 jump,
$250 for the day and can come
packed as you would like for $50.

No charge for getting it wet but
torn or bloody = extra money.

460 typed this hypothetical:

7' 2" and 110 pounds

That guy would be better off
using the money for food Wink

Mine rents for $222 for the day and it comes packed... although the pack job is long overdue to be aired out and I'm not sure if it's SU or SDAngelic Extra adrenaline - no charge! It's going to work... I'm sure of it! Blood, damage and extra pack jobs will cost ya!!

Re: [cheekybastard] Bridge day rig for rent
I will have the following rig for sale at Bridge Day:
- Paratech Odyssey velcro container. Less than 100 jumps, great condition, ugly colors.
- Ace 280 with composite top skin. Less than 100 jumps, no patches, no water landings.
- Newish Asylum risers
- Slider
- 42 inch PC

I'm 6'0", 185 lbs and the rig fits me great.

All reasonable offers will be considered. Prefer not to rent. Email me at brianmartinil@gmail.

I also have a pair of used Hanwags, size 10-ish. I do not want to bring them home, so somebody will be getting a hell of a deal.
