Anyone used a Lite or ultra lite to static line from? I just started jumping a Lite and with its reduced overbuild wonder if it would bring any issues to S/L with it... anyone with any input?

Try it, worst case it breaks off after your canopy is out then you send it back to apex. Shouldnt have to limit yourself since you did pay extra. Go for it, right now!!! I want an answer by the time i get back home this evening, thank you. ;-)

I have a FOX lite in service for FJC's and have static lined it several times (static lines are a normal part of the course) with no issues.

i believe Steve at apex mentioned that the standard built will be replaced by the lite built in the not too distant future for all canopies...so

A friend of mine has probably 3-5 S/L on his, no issues as of yet.

I've been jumping my Flik Lite 266 (4 vtec) as an all around chute for maybe 100 jumps with a decent amount of static lining from our low bridge. i even back up my static lines by doing two separate loops of 80lb on the low stuff in case of the first loaded loop breaking prematurely.

I'm starting to lose some of the flare, but i think it got pretty porous after some water landings.
