Hi there,

Quick question - I understand Ravens are good skydiving canopies to train for BASE on, but what about other F111 7-cell canopies, like a PDR or a Comet?
Is there something that makes a Raven better suited for this than others?

Really any big F-111 7 cell is going to be ok.

People tend to say "Raven" because they are a bit easier to come by already set up as a main, with bridle attachment point and color patterns that help packing.

I did a search for the Comet on here and it came up with a thread about Frank Donnellan. I've read some stuff about what people were jumping in the 80s, shit looked hardcore back then. Must have been an interesting time.

i might buy that canopey how many jumps does it have on it?

I have no idea, f-111 is in good shape, lines are decent. Has red brakes, and red inner A lines, I assume they're the original lines. I'll shoot pics if ya want, pm me your email
