does my rega insurance from LB works in Brento to?ore is it a specell one for italy?

As a token of appreciation for this support, Rega can, at its own discretion and within the bounds of its resources, waive the costs for the services listed below for patrons, wholly or in part. This includes both rescue services that Rega provides itself and any services of other providers which it organises. Such services can only be provided at reduced or no cost, however, if health insurers and other insurance companies or other liable third parties do not or only partially cover the costs of the rescue mission.

So this means that Rega CAN waive your rescue costs if your travel / health insurance does not cover it. In other terms, Rega patronage is NOT primary resuce insurance.

So to speak if you are not Swiss resident or holder of CH passport they will not waive your rescue costs in Italy.

As far as I know, Rescue is free. Word up is you should contact unclecharlie95. There has been some problems lately with accidents and the Government's acceptance of the sport. It could be on the verge of being banned there.

Heli rescue is covered by the local region for the moment.

As 283 said, lots of accidents this year = lots of -ve publicity.

We have already proposed introducing an insurance scheme but the $$ spent on rescue are not the issue for now, it is more the damage to tourism and upset locals.

you can also look at spot personal locator beacons. you can get rescue in non cell locations and it gives you heli rescue insurance as well.
