bay area relocation
I spent some time in berkeley once and have partied in san fran one time, otherwise im totally unfarmiliar with the entire geographical area, and i was hoping that there were some folks here that live in the area/used to live there that can share opinions.........

im gonna be working on yerba buena island, inbetween oakland and san fran. any advice on what areas would be good to live in (factoring in hopefully slightly lower cost of living as opposed to san francisco), and hopefully not in to shitty of neighborhoods?

berkeley would be cool, but how are the areas like emeryville, lafyette, walnut creek, etc? or just south of alameda?

i see there is skydive byron not too far from those places. im simply trying to get some ideas on where to start looking..........

also if anyone is into speedflying/paragliding, are there some spots up/down the coast or inland?

thanks and i appreciate anyones input

True Story CW! You'll love it there. And if you wear your sailor hat you drink for free in all the bars. Very sailor friendly district. You'll love it.

definite possibility. i researched pictures of that area. its looks wonderfully vibrant and gleaming with bright colors. seems like the folks may be friendly too, cause everyone had a pretty rainbow flag outside their businesses. not sure what it means, but they must be very nice!!
