Didnt see very many new guys introducing themselves, but I like to when ever I join a forum.

A skydiving buddy of mine told me to check it out and to read and learn with him. I really just started diving (3 jumps) so Im not so much interested in jumping right into BASE like most of the section. But Id like to hang around and read about jumping and hear some stories, in the chance that I decide to give a go in the future.

My name is Carson, I'm a maryland native, going to school at Mississippi State. Im huge into the outdoors. I really enjoy long distance hiking and bouldering/rock climbing. This coming summer ill likely be taking a little hiatus from diving to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail.

Hello everyone

What's up, I'm new on here too! Getting back into BASE after being married for some years. Now single I can live again! My first time Base jump was in 1989, those were crazy days! Free climbing surfing, skiing, anything I could push the limits. These days I run 50 mile and 100 mile trail races and getting some sky dives in, this winter buying some new Base gear.

Man thats good to hear that you are getting back into things. Relationships should never drag someone down like that. I really think those crazy days you spoke of need to be continued as long as your body is willing.

As for the races, I wish I was that fit. Im no sloth but I havent found anyone around here dedicated enough to train with that could push me anywhere near enough to reach 50-100 mile race status.

Good luck man, if you hit any races further south (arkansas, kentucky, tennessee, etc) hit me up. Depending on what it is I might see about entering.

Yeah, it's been hard! I was never much of a runner most of my life, but it has really paid off making me in the best shape of my life. Years of beating my body up I just never thought I would be able to run so far through the woods and mountains.
