Legality of Antenna...
I realize there is a high likelihood of flaming associated with this post but I'll ask it anyway...

What could one be charged with assuming they were caught on an A that:

A) is in a public park
B) is not surrounded by a fence or barricade of any sort
C) possesses a ladder that reaches all the way to the ground,
D) devoid of any type of signage on or near the structure

Criminal Mischief?
Criminal Trespass?
Whatever they wanted to?

To add some spice, let's assume that it's an antenna owned by a local municipality.

Re: [xnewmanx] Legality of Antenna...
Any "No Trespassing" signs at the perimeter of the property it sits on?

The so called "A" could be on land you already trespassed on whether you climb it or not.

I guess if you were to be able to walk from public land to the A without seeing a single Posted sign then you could play stupid and say something like "Sorry officer, I didn't know I could not do that because there is no sign warning me not to".

There is actually a public drinking fountain about 15 feet from the structure as well as a tennis court about 15 yards away. There isn't a single sign that I could find within 100 yards of the A.

Day Blaze it then! See what Happens. Cool

Seriously though, if its in a park there is probably some closed after dark sign and regardless what signs are posted or not posted, isnt the general idea not to get caught? If there is a high bust factor maybe you should reconsider.

Re: [xnewmanx] Jump It
Bizzare, I have never seen or heard of that.

Have seen some AM antennas on private land
that only had short white picket fence that you
could just step over if you were tall.
