While driving 800 miles yesterday, September 10th, I did not see a since police car. Usually I see between 10 and 15 police cars on that route. It makes me wonder if the police are tied up guarding critical infrastructure, much of which would be BASE worthy. It seems like it might be a bad idea to jump today on some of the sites.

i just flew from houston to newark nj. sat there for 3+hrs mesmorized by the 9/11 in real-time history channel special. as we landed, i looked around and noticed that nobody else had it on their tv screen. then occurred to me that it might have been slightly morbid to sit on a plane on 9/11, watching it happen on tv.

obviously the media has had some time to add production value to the presentation of events, but it surprised me how emotional i got watching it.

I jumped the most high profile object of my life on the 10 year anniversary of Sept 11th went smoothly and without a hitch not everyone is out to get base jumpers :)

September 12th will live in infamy after tonight's jump. Just kidding though about the infamy thing, or at least for public infamy.
