ski base mishap

... and right as i jumped and tapped that ledge, jumped into the face, my ski came off. That was almost a disaster, so i decided to go into a big front flip to get out of it, and once i found my ski was out of the way, i just pulled my parachute and uh ... it worked out...

somehow i dont think he 'decided' to go into the front flip. i think the rock the knocked his ski off threw him into a frontwards rotating momentum. also i dont think he timed his pilot chute throw based on when he saw his ski was clear, as he was on his back when he threw... but he sure seemed convinced...
anyways skibase off the matterhorn is a badass endeavour...
at least he admitted to being really lucky which is all i believe had to do with it.

It really looks like hitting that rock with his ski sent him tumbling. There was no way he wasn't doing a front flip after that.

yeah, luckily there was a cliff right there otherwise he would have smashed his face on those rocks..
