If bridle (velcro) became dislodged during freefall/flight you'd end up with a horse-shoe type situation.

Aside from easy locating of the pilotchute, a large issue with the big suits seems to be the large burble they have. With the PC release here being a 'let it go' instead of a 'throw' that could take it further outside of the burble this does seem like a bit of an over-engineered solution that complicated the system to a degree where it could create whole other problems?

In regular stowing of the pilot chute, with the reach-and-throw, you actually make a larger burble by flying worse, don't you? (At least I do, still collapsing my leg wing :P Got lots of shit to learn still before upsizing.) I think when you just let it go, in clean air, it has a better chance to inflate. you also can't miss it (already hold it), it's faster to deploy, and I'm sure they'll figure out the horseshoe-issues. flaps and magnets can probably work wonders :)
