Big wings and pilotchutes.
I have now got several reports from different jumpers about problem to find the pilotchute, and problems to pull due to big wingsuits. Also pilotchute hesitations have been observed more this year than previous.

I would like to put attention to the problems, and how to solve them.

There Is No Reason To Rush
No, I do not wingsuit BASE jump
but have ~600 SKY jumps wearing
large camera wings for doing video.

Yes, I have 2 friends on the BFL
who died BASE jumping their suits.

I *think* the newer crop of excited
wingsuit flyers have less SKY jumps
and less BASE jumps and progress
to larger suits faster.

I agree with 434, Guys, please take
it down a notch, every other day one
of Us goes in, which is truly horrible
for your families and Our objects.

Re: [434] Big wings and pilotchutes.
I have always used a 38" large mesh vented pc for ws stuff even with my 200sqft ultralight canopy, I have even used a 42 on some sub 900ft objects. I also probably touch my pc 100 times before each jump and am always doing practice pulls while on the exit point. I also think knowing your wingsuit and knowing your rig helps in addition to all of that pulling higher helps A LOT I can personally attest to this and when I have a bit more time I will post the story here. Stay safe guys

Re: [434] Big wings and pilotchutes.
with the single parachute, that PC is the most important thing... do whatever you have to do to get really good at finding the PC while wearing the WS/trackpants. practice from aircraft, and pulling high is ok too. also, i've seen some weak ass PC throws this year, chuck that thing OUTSIDE OF YOUR BURBLE. also keeping your speed up can minimize the size of your burble and leg pouches are freakin dangerous and dumb, in my opinion.

Was the problem specific to a particular type or style of suit vs being simply 'big.' is the issue unique to boc or leg pouches? thanks for sharing
