Base 'back in the day'
Hi out there,

I am not a base jumper and, under normal conditions, would not be posting here.

However, I have received a scan of a May 1972 copy of CanPara magazine and it had this in it:

'On Sunday 26th March, two guys did a jump from Sydney Harbour Bridge to celebrate its 40th birthday. They used 24 ft reserves, apex-static-lined to the bridge with break-cord. They jumped from the roadway level which is approximately 250' above the water.'

I thought some of you might find this interesting,

You sure it was a Sunday? I heard "back in the day" was always a Wednesday...

Hi Jerry,

I collect historical BASE articles and material (which I also freely share to help keep the history known), I was wondering if you would be so kind as to email me a copy of this?

Thanks!

Michael
