Anyone ever used an OSP for terminal jumps in 10-20 second range?? how are the openings

i used mine for lot´s of jumps in the valley and at the itw. no problems so far the openings are pretty similar to a troll.

i have mine a 245 for sale :-) cause i am looking gorward to lighter things :-)

I am flying my OSP 265 with a Prodigy from High Ultimate. It gives a somewhat harder opening than with a Troll 265, but nothing that is too uncomfortable. It may be different with your individual brake setting.

cool cheers. am heading to the valley and france and italy in august and was wondering whether its worth bringing as a second rig which i will now. do you do anything different with the pack job? are you just running big mesh slider still? thanks

Atair has a medium slider, Between big mesh openings and sail or fine mesh. but keep it secret.

Myself and Bert Cloutier were terminal jumping our OSP's at the Heliboogie.

And? Do you care to give some input on Term openings and pack jobs? It would be quite beneficial to the forum.

No not really

Nothing special with the nose. Big mesh slider; primary and secondary slider control with tapegate. Just gives firmer openings than other canopies .. which I prefer when I'm close to terra firma anyway.

I know Bert does nothing special either. Primary stow, and nothing really with the nose except bury it.

So what is the downside of OSP? Glide ratio? If it can be used for terminal jumps sounds like the perfect BASE canopy

We load our canopies basically the same, he has a 240, me a 280. Glide ratio was slightly steeper than my Ace, yet slower. We still manged to put a 2-stack together after one of our jumps
