1 pin x 2 pin gear
I have an 1 pin gear and all my base friends tell me i have to change to a 2 pin gear. And more, they are concerned about me jumping with a 1 pin container, saying that it's crazyness, becouse all the gears in the market have a 2 pin release system. So, what is the big DEAL about 1 pin containers in Base jumps??
thaks a lot and good jumps!

Re: [Ludwings] 1 pin x 2 pin gear
there's nothing wrong with a well made 1 pin rig. plenty of people jump them.

2 pin rigs are more common because they
are twice as forgiving of messy packing.

I think I remember 460 saying that Velcro
is really just hundreds of very small pins.

It is funny to me that your buddies think
1 pin is black death but don't know why Laugh

Blitz, as usual, is totally right, just make
sure you pack neatly and be very mindful
of your pin tension.

Re: [Ludwings] 1 pin x 2 pin gear
My first 100+ jumps (both up and down) was on a used Prisim......great rig and Im sure it's still flyin' stong even today. Only switched to two pin cause I found a smokin deal on a complete used kit (up-sized canopy) and it happened to be 2 pin. Tell your friends to fuck off Tongue JK

LOVE my Prism, LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! The packjob has to be super tidy, but whatever. 1 pin is fine.

Re: [Ludwings] 1 pin x 2 pin gear
After my PC pulls my bottom pin my rig explodes because your base gods curse one pins. One pin rigs are totally period and old school anyways. You should be telling them whats up!

Have the concerned friends test the pull force. It should ease their minds. 2 pin rigs are just easier to maintain a low pin tension while keeping the profile fairly slim.

Are you sayin that zippers suckass? Dang you bro. I have to ditch my zipper rig templates now. I mean that zippees are way betterer than Velcro in longetivity, Just hookup the pc to the zipper foot. YKK only. Jeez. Since ou outed me with logics and facts (I hate those), I am doing a vacuum rig prototype. But it sux.
When are coming over?
