Italian Wall and Swiss Valley
Hey all. I'm going to the Heliboogie and then going to Spain, renting a car, and driving to Italy. Anybody going to be jumping the Italian wall and the Swiss valley after the boogie? I've never been to either, and it would be nice to have some people to jump with and make sure I don't piss any locals off by landing on their garden gnomes. My time frames are pretty open. I'll be in the area for ten days, and days I'm not basing I'll be touristing and skydiving. Any advice on either site would be nice. Cya.

What are the dates for this? I'm planning on ITW and the Valley in late Aug early Sep. I'm sort of in the same boat so to speak.. traveling alone and have no idea how to get to the exits..and really want to be respectful of the locals.

Pity our dates don't match up. I'll be in Italy-Switzerland from June 28th to July 8th. There is some great info under articles then sites on basejumper, but that's not enough compared to someone that knows the site. Hotel recommendations by both places would be welcome too. I'll be driving, so being super close isn't necessary. I am so stoked for this trip. Walking up next to a three thousand foot cliff, then taking one more step...

During these dates the high season is definitely on so there will be jumpers at both locations for sure.

In Italy : Go to the bar Parete Zebrata next to the landing area of ITW and hook up with some local jumpers. http://www.barparetezebrata.it/
In the Swiss valley : go to Horner Pub and do the same than in ITW. http://www.hornerpub.ch

Anybody know who would be good people to get a hold of for the ITW and the Swiss valley? Jumpers in the area that would know people that would be likely to jump early July? Send me a pm if you don't want to throw their names out there. Heap big thanks.

Good advice. I'm fairly new to base, only 21 jumps off the Perrine bridge. I'm attending the Heliboogie, so I'll hopefully have another 20 or so terminal jumps before going to Italy and Switzerland. I did my fjc with Marta and Jimmy of Apex: Excellent people. I've 560 skydives, and I'm hitting the big walls because the low jumps just don't give you enough time to appreciate the view. I'm a firm believer in high pulls and paying attention to people who have done it before. I also tell bad jokes and buy beer.
