Hey, Jeb..?
So word is that you beat your NYC Empire State Building case. The building is still there buddy, maybe no fat suit to tire you out this time? Maybe make some friends to ground crew the observation deck so you don't have to bitch out again. Wink Just kidding. Congrats if the news is true.

Re: [OuttaBounZ] Hey, Jeb..?
Is it true that building jumping in NYC is a felony now? I don't see how a city has authority to create felony criminal laws. That should be under the authority of the state, not the city.

Re: [460] Hey, Jeb..?
I have a few friends that jump in the city. I've been told by them that it is now a felony offense. I'm sure someone will confirm that lives there.. but it sounds no bueno to me.

No clue. I know that the condition of the building makes a difference. Like if it is under construction or something like that. Beats me, all I know is that research and an awesome well organized ground crew helps make the ninja jumps a success.

Re: [jdatc] Hey, Jeb..?
the explanation i got is actually jumping is not felony, however, depending upon the building, area of the city, who you piss off and how much of a dick the cop or prosecutor is being, there are other charges which can be levied against you, some of which can be felonies.

Re: [jdatc] Hey, Jeb..?
Well, at least it's not a felony. In Texas, a class A has the same max jail penalty but instead of $1000, the max fine is $4000. Darn it.

So 49 feet and below is game on Smile

Re: [GreenMachine] Playing Lawyer Ball
We will obviously need to redefine the definition of "a foot" to overcome this law.
