Question for experienced WS jumpers
I am a moderately experienced WS BASE jumper and I feel like I am pretty competent at most aspects of WS BASE, but one thing I've never been all that great at is generating forward movement really quickly after exit. I have seen some WS jumpers able to start flying almost instatnly, and my attempts to emulate them have not really yielded any major improvements. So my question is, how do you do it? Can someone explain to me in words as opposed to video what they are doing to start flying really quickly after exit?
Just fyi, my ws exits usually do not have a really hard push, but I start to "roll" forward before leaving the object and then give a moderate push to separate myself, letting the momentum of the original "roll" put me into a slightly head low position after exiting. I usually try and open all wing surfaces as quickly as I can.
Any Ideas?
