Seven and PC size?
Hi everyone, I was wondering what size of PC to use with my track suit?
Here in France, people are not used to the seven, and the fact that it opens hard.
I am using a 32 with my pants, do you think it's too small?
On another hand I don't have any other solution : a 36 gives me really hard openings.
I know you will answer : do you roll the nose, did you put a rubber on the slider, etc...
Another option could be the body position, I usually pitch while full track. But is it not a bad idea to lose 1/2 sec changing your body position, when the ground is coming very fast?

Any ideas?

Cheers

Large or small mesh slider? How long of a delay?

Fine mesh slider.
Delay >7 sec for example

hi,

usually with the pantz I change my body position and pull right during the change of the position, that's mean a little break on the trajectory speed... and finish the opening in box position for the control.

Nice openings that you can correct before the slider is fully down...

Pull full speed often mean hard openings and no control at all!!

it depends of the size of your seven, your wing load a little bit too, I have a Troll MDV 225, fully rolled all the time with slider control for terminal, pantz and wingsuit as well.

in your case, depending of the size of your seven, i will try a 34 PC like the one used for the trango, for pantz and wingsuit.

a 32 will works, i used it for wingsuit as well, prodigy 2 and V3, but it can change the time sequence of the opening on larger wings.....
not recommended for cliffs jumps, but for helicopter and stuff like that no problem.

just my way of doing it !

Whats up Tancrede,

For all my ws and tracking jumps I have used a 34 and rolled the nose with good results.

+1

But after my compression fracture I struggle to push my slider down jumps beyond 2,5 - 3 seconds.

I use a 36 AV from asylum.

I used direct slider control, mesh slider and I expouse the center cell only a couple of inches. This works just perfect for me.

Really consistent openings.

Hard opening? Simple fix - better slider control or roll the nose. I've used zp 32s for tracking for almost a decade. The company doesn't really matter -- I have my pref -- but anyone pushing one over the other is either getting free shit or wants free shit.

Just my two tenths of a cent.

32 is good for terminal delays while falling or tracking or with or without a tracking suit.

However, I believe it is safer to use 36 or 38 if using a wingsuit.

I disagree my friend. He is jumping a Seven and should use ONLY Asylum Pilot chute.

The seven is manufactured by Asylum designs and therefore is absolutely necessary to use Asylum designs pilot chute as well. Studies have shown that Failure to use the same manufacture for canopy and pilot chute can and will result in a total malfunction leading to injury or death.

98% percent of advance BASE Jumpers know of this phenomenon.

Is call brand/integration functionality phenomenon.

You must not be an advance BASE Jumper since you didn't know about this.

Be careful out there......

interesting post.
i'd love to see the peer reviewed journals that published these "studies"

Craig.
but, yes, definitely DO purchase from Asylum!
