Jesse Hall's packing method for SD jumps
Has anybody tried that packing job for low jumps? How did you feel it? Did you notice any delay during openning sequence?Cool

Re: [Pigi] Jesse Hall's packing method for SD jumps
Why would it cause a delay?
There is plenty of video out there of Jesse jumping sub-terminal, and given his current state of being it seems to have worked every time. I didn't really see anything different about his packjob other than the "tilley fold" (I think its called) where the outside cells are folded around the tail. I use the tilley fold myself and think it helps promote center cell inflation.
What do you do differently that sparks this question?

I use asymmetric folds on the tail if that's what you mean. Have jumped tons of low shit and static lines with it. Works well and my pack job usually takes a little less than 15 min.

Jesse's packing method, was really started by Martin Tilley. Jesse put an excellent video together showing the way Jesse does it. I began using the same packing method in 2000.

Define low? Without a slider, that pack job won't really slow an opening down.

BTW, I notice that all three of your posts on basejumper.com are related to packing videos. Are you by any chance learning BASE digitally?

I have noticed no difference in opening since I switched to this pack job. Does anyone see why there would be?

i have used this pack job for jumps from 200' and up. only thing that i change is the slider. so far i haven't had any problems and i like the ease and speed of packing as well as the openings.

Re: [Pigi] Jesse Hall's packing method for SD jumps
I use his pack job for all jumps. My lowest I used it from is 255' wind turbine and it worked great. No delay problems, on heading (for the most part, a few degrees L/R if the winds were acting up). I really like his packing method. it's clean, simple, and faster (for me anyway). Best thing to do it to learn it and then compare/contrast on your own, i did it and I felt his method was better for me

I use Martin's method on almost all jumps, have tried both asymmetric, (alternating the first-folded side). No difference, slider up or down, static line or freefall or wingsuit.
