O.k I'm totally new to this. I've never skydived before and was looking at the base jumping with wingsuits. Yes yes I know guys jump out of a plain and figure out if you like it I know. But what does it take to do something like that? And I'm not talking about balls here. What do I have to do in order to do this. I'm out of Los Angeles Ca.

1. The sense to do some research for yourself & not just expect the answer to be handed to you on a plate. There's a wealth of information in the articles section here & on blinc.

2. Roughly 200 skydives before jumping a wingsuit - say 50 ws skydives on the suit you intend to BASE, then enough BASE jumps to be reasonably competent (around 7 should do if you have ninja skillz...)

And to answer your question, No. If you want to persue BASE you'll have to move to a state where there are places to BASE jump.

as Moderator, my main job is to keep things civil here. your aggressive stance will create problems for both you and the forums. I'm basically concerned about the latter.

as for the former, all users must earn respect and trust. it begins with a proper attitude and realizing that learning BASE is a process. there is zero need to give you information you are unprepared to handle. most newbies take offense qt this process. experienced jumpers take offense to cleaning up after unprepared jumpers.

consider this, when you did your research, did you understand everything you found? odds are that you need to gain some experience to better appreciate much of the information out there.

one thing to keep in mind, you are not offering anything for the information you seek. I'd respect your stance much more if you were paying an instructor. parents, teachers, priests, salesmen, girlfriends, businesspeople, etc. rarely (if ever) tell you everything you ask. why should people do so here?

With an attitude like that, if you do get into BASE, my money is on Abbie giving you a number before Rick does.

Why don't you go look into an AFF course and when you pay for that talk to them about base. Maybe they will give you some advice or hopefully deter you when you realize you aren't qualified.

Dude, this is really a small community, start over by not posting anything until you have some useful bits to ad. Just work on skydiving for a while....BASE will be here when you're ready. But if you keep at it, when you are ready for BASE, you'll find that this small community that you pissed off in the beginning will be real welcoming and wanting to show you to their sites...NOT.

Just stop posting. That is the advice I give to all new guys or prospective jumpers. Posting will only give you hell, because your questions and posts have been asked a thousand times, and to be honest its hilarious to watch people use you as their entertainment.
