assuming visor won't be used, what do you like to use?
Why?

Are you going terminal with it? Flying a wingsuit?

Re: [kleggo] full face helmets
sometimes in Moab I'll use my Z1 with lens off. I like it. Solid and I get great peripheral views

Re: [TomAiello] full face helmets
yes, that will be my primary use.

Re: [kleggo] full face helmets
A couple of us wear these:

http://www.sweetprotection.com/...fullface&pid=121

They're super lightweight, offer good impact protection, and are much slimmer than normal mountain biking helmets. The visor is removable and leaves no snag points once removed. They're pricey, but solid helmets.

Re: [shegget] full face helmets
imo the best cheapest slimmest lightest visorless full face will always be the factory diver

Re: [kleggo] full face helmets
What do you think about "met parachute"
Verry lightweight, doesn't restrict vision at all but keeps your teeth in place in case of crash, better protection than any skydiving helmets.
Maybe an opinion from someone that is using one..

Re: [mr_basejumper] full face helmets
Doesn't look like it would have the best aerodynamics for a wingsuit flight.

Could be nice for slider down stuff, though. Smile

I am jumping a Factory Diver for more the 15 years.
Light helmet, not too bulky, good peripheral vision, good closing system - it doesn´t strangle you like some chin straps.

Not the best in protection, but it still saved me a tooth or two. 40 years of dental care can be for naught only because of an open face helmet.

Re: [HWalter] full face helmets
thanks for letting me know what you're using.
i'll look around and try some test fits.

cheers

looks like a hard core cross country MTB helmet.

aero may not be as bad as one may expect, except it's may me optimized more for "looks" or 20 mph velocity instead of 110mph

So how are you actually "loving it" since I have never seen you jumping with a helmet... Or do I really even want to know? :D

Re: [kleggo] full face helmets
You can find them for much cheaper, especially if they are a previous year's model. Some kayaking stores carry them in the US, but yah, I believe they are from norway.

Re: [swilson] full face helmets
Im having Sweet protection. Its pricey, but im liking it. Its not too heavy or unconfortable to choose not to wear it for every jump. It is a bit bulkyer than FD but should gives more protection. Construction seems pretty solid an durable.

Might not bee the most aeromystic, but i think there is few other things to improve before my helmet is snagging me down :)

Re: [maretus] full face helmets
