Protective Gear 2011
Haven't been BASE jumping for a while, and never had an organized approach to protective gear. Now I'm older and more brittle and would way rather spend money on some protection before the need, than on medical bills after the deed.

Forum search on protective gear points to a 2003 post on Protective gear, but links and equipment are outdated.. Just wondering what's out there, in terms of boots, body armour, etc.

My immediate interest is what to wear for the heliboogie at Kjerag.. Is there such a thing as wetsuit/body armour.. If you land in the frosty fjord, it would be a drag to die of hypothermia.

thanks!

You might want to try some impact clothing for snowboarding;

Also I have these boots and think they kick ass;

The water is not that cold.... I know...
The part that really sucks is drying your gear.
