Bridge Day 2011 noob questions
How many slots are there generally available (or will be available) for Bridge Day?

How quickly have they historically sold out?

I'd like to know so that I can see if the logistics of me being able to attend are possible for this year.

I have been contemplating attending Bridge Day for 3 years now but a combination of minimal sky diving experience, funds for gear rental, and just funds in general have kept me from going. This year I am considering asking a friend if he would let me borrow his BASE rig to go make at the very least just one jump off the bridge (possibly more than one if I am able to learn and get comfortable with packing the rig).

450 slots are available and we always fill them. Back in 2003, we sold all 450 slots in three weeks. In the last few years, we sold the last few jump slots on the day before the event. Since the jump order on Bridge Day is determined by when you purchase a jump slot, we sell a lot of jump slots in the first few hours (registration begins July 1 at 2pm EDT). Also, early buyers get a better chance of securing a hotel room at jumper headquarters (Holiday Lodge Oak Hill).

If you're unsure that you can attend, I suggest you wait until later in the summer to purchase a jump slot. We will prominently post the number of remaining jump slots on our website when they're close to selling out.
