These are awesome helmets. I think you can even get a mount option that holds the Great Book Of Base in front of your face for easy access during jumps, in the event that you need to reference something. :) In all seriousness, its a sweet helmet with a good crash rating, and is extremely lightweight and durable.

What helmet are you referring to?

I was referring to the Cut 3 from Icaro, which was in a link on the original post. Sweetness! And, norcal21jg, I was just having a laugh...I hope my comment wasn't overly offensive. I really dig those helmets. I'd like to get one as soon as I can afford it. Also, as a former EMS professional (and in base) I've had the pleasure of witnessing firsthand the horrible nature of severe head trauma. While nothing quite says 'style' like circling the drain with priapism raging, I think I'd rather just reduce the risk of head trauma by using appropriate head-protection whenever possible. (Blitzkrieg's notion that "no helmet will be good enough to protect you from BASE" while true, doesn't really fly for me. No packjob can guarantee an on-heading opening every time, but you don't see too many people trash-packing because of this fact.)

I'd like to see these helmets. Can someone put the link back up?

FWIW i wear a big ol' ugly full face on almost every jump these days. it's tough to look cool, but losing even one friend to head trauma (while wearing a good helmet) can change your perspective.

and, btw... i do trash pack so to speak on every pack job. pack job is the least of my worries.

was gonna get one of those fancy paragliding helmets, but then i bought a bell bellistic for like 70 bux, and it makes me feel comfortable having the fullface chin/teeth protection. hopefully i dont ever have to field test the impact rating.

Thanks Jordan, I've been considering getting the Icaro Kuzna which is open face, I don't like wearing full face although I like the extra protection. My helmet would be for paragliding, snowboarding and BASE, the Kuzna seems to be a good all-around choice. Interestingly the Kuzna weighs only 10 grams less than the Cut 3.
