I think it's doable. All you have to do is catch the thermal comeing out of the middle and ride it back up to the landing area. You guys just need to learn to think out side the box.

Who said you need a parachute? Just take a wingsuit and ride the thermal out.

It has already been done 20 years ago for a movie. I'm not sure who the stunt people were who performed the stunt but the actors were Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.... the movie was Joe vs the volcano.
