im going to meet with a rigger friend of mine soon to go over all this, but in the interim, im just playing around with making some tailgates right now at home, and i got a bunch of type 2A nylon and some other shit from paragear.

do you need to use a super tiny fid to make your own closing loops, or does a thin (but long enough) pair of hemostats work????? i have 5 inch hemostats but they are too thick for the nylon to stretch around...........

I've never tried using hemostats, but I imagine it would be fairly tricky. You can make a fid suitable for finger trapping 2A out of any piece of sturdy wire that will hold its' shape. Just loop it back on itself to make a ~6" long doubled piece.

FYI: I have the fid that came with my
set of rigging tools but for most jobs,
especially dacron, I prefer using wire.

Electrical fuse wire works a treat.

I absolutely hate, loath and detest the childish idea of branded Frog Fuckin' Green writing but I got to say thank you Tom for putting up links and info which I have found to be of interest including the above and also the Stash Bag template etc.

I miss jumping with you, John. Not sure if Tom realizes that his green font gives you something to complain about while hiking around in Kenya, being chased by elephants, and what-not.

Well, he does. He's a compassionate man and truly understands that the Frog Fuckin' Green writing will cause hardships to some individuals. He does not wish ill will upon them. He prays daily, that another color from another source, will create joy.

He's not at liberty to devulge information in regards to the Frog Fuckin' Green that is used, not only in his writing but in wardrobe, accessories, and other components used every day of his life.

We at hookitt.com have recently obtained leaked information from the providers of Frog Fuckin' Green. Tom's a lucky man. It's part of his contract, therefore the Frog Fuckin' Greentext will remain until at least until his current contract is up. The future does look bright for Tom. It appears the contract may be life long.
