referenced on this wiki page?

A paralyzed parachutist and I went to see
"Santum" today, he had just has shoulder
surgery so I drove his handi-van, & enjoyed
the ball on the steering wheel, thinking about
getting one for my little Toyota truck, thoughts?

Re: [GreenMachine] Suicide Knob
They are great. I'm getting one this weekend. My handicapped father uses one.

I think those have been illegal in Texas for years. The explanation I heard was that if you are wearing long sleeves, they can get caught in the slit between the cuff and elbow and make you wreck.

Personally, I've never owned one.

So how was the movie? Did it get your rocks off?

Re: [gauleyguide] Sanctum
It was as expected, saw it in 3D-IMAX
so the picture was huge and good, but
BASE jump was fake, plot predictable,
and there were a few technical errors.

I did not have to pay for the ticket so
overall, huh, a decent popcorn movie.

Re: [GreenMachine] Sanctum
I had a suicide knob on my first truck; a 1964 Ford 3/4 ton truck.

It was awesome.

Big trucks with manual steering will tend to spin back the steering wheel to straight after a turn, the knob gives you more leverage to control it. Of course if you let it get out of control it will take off your hand at the wrist (and probably make you drop your beer...)
