Inciting a Panic?
Has a BASE jumper ever actually been charged with Inciting a Panic? I know we throw that term around a lot of a possible charge but has anyone actually been charged with it?

A kid in Cincy was recently charged with Inciting a Panic for telling other kids he was going to go Columbine on them. It was reported that Inciting a Panic was a 4th degree Felony. I guess I never realized how serious of a charge Inciting a Panic was. I realize in this case, threatening to harm others, is a big deal, but I didnt know if any base jumpers have been slammed with a similar charge?

A Felony ??? for Minor verbally inciting panic ?

I really doubt a charge of inciting panic for BASE . But a BASE jump & especially doing one in a down-town environment is pretty easy to be charged with Reckless Endangerment .
A BASE jumper can be Charged with anything they feel like . Doesn't mean they will get what they dream-up & a citizen being charged with the maximum or a huge amount multiple charges that the Prosecution can dream-up is just proper procedure and the encouraged game that is played with our judicial system .
There is No guilty or Not guilty in our judicial system . ( The main goal is successful Prosecution ) & not necessarily the Max. Sentence possible .
'In the name of Justice' All will be Forced a choice of a Plea-bargain for lesser charge & penalty in exchange for a plea of Guilty & successful prosecution .

Felony Inducing Panic is what the man on the TV said about those pesky jumpers, i hope they lock them up and throw away the key.

In 1980 when I jumped off The World Trade Center I wish I had turned around and said "Don't worry folks, I have a parachute" As I was later told a lot of people got really upset. They only saw me go over the edge, not the safe outcome below. If someone had had a heart attack that would not have been good.

As a jumper, a piece of me died when the WTC fell.

Back in the early 1980s, to have 25 or even 50 BASE jumps made one a God.
