I'm sure that anythihg could happen, so the safest option would be to not give footage to the news. However, that being said, you may get a positive news story out of it without burning all of your stuff. I think it really depends on your city.

The Cincy crew did a news story years ago (can find it on you tube) and it hasnt had any effect on their jumping. You may not get that lucky! I would personally be better safe than sorry, but thats just me.

you should find out the statue of limitations of your state. most misdemeanors are 1 year. So maybe wait till a year goes by before you release it. Yes they certainly can use the video to bust you. It is probably not the best idea. Generally media turns and twists things negatively to sell copies. Good luck.
