HanWags
Anyone know how the hanwags superfly boots run for sizing? I have a wide foot, wear either 10.5 or 11 US depending, do the superfly's run narrow / wide?

thx

Re: [kcollier] HanWags
I have a wide foot and my 13 was a perfect fit. If you get a pair and they come in narrow just wear them in some mud and water until the leather softens up, then walk them dry. Thats how I break in my leather fire boots that always come narrow to me, and it works out perfect.

I have a wide foot and I found that the Crispis fit me better than the Hanwags. The Hanwags were too narrow for me.

did you get the crispis airborne or icarus? both look like they have high ankles, additional protection, and limited snag points.

i broke ankle jumping last spring, just getting to point where i can jump again, not taking chances though.

Airborne GTX. I'm on my second pair.

I second what TA said. Hanwags were very narrow for my wide flat foot, especially right in the arch. My Crispi's (bought from Critter Mountain Wear (http://www.crittermountainwear.com/wearables.htm#airborne ) have been fantastic. Maybe a little uglier for casual wear than the Hanwags, but I still wear them because they are so darned comfortable.

Hey, not sure how relevant it is but I have the GTX boots size UK10, (around a 10 1/2 US) and pretty wide feet, but no problems with the fit.

I went for salomon 3D fastpacker gtx mids.
Don't fancy the bulkyness & weight of the superflys.
TBH they are a bit "extreme" unless ur climbing rock cliffs with crampons to get to a summit!

I have Kaylands and Hanwags.

The Kaylands are more comfortable and less bulky (hence better for climbing) The Hanwags are more sturdy and offer better protection.

The Kaylands are pretty shagged out after 2 seasons jumping (~300 jumps) I reckon the Hanwags will last a bit longer.

Both are good boots but if I had to choose 1 pair, I would go for the kaylands. Kaylands are usually slightly cheaper but the Hanwags I got were free :)

Edit: The Hanwags are probably better suited to a wider foot than the Kaylands.
