Primary stow and openings
How will the strength of the primary stow effect the opening characteristics of a base canopy?

For example, will cutting a skydiving bungee in half length ways and using that as a primary stow give a faster opening versus a full skydiving bungee? (both would hypothetically be wrapped twice)

Very minimal diff IMHO. If you mean in terms of 10´s of feet, I would say 5ft. maybe 7. I am not joking.

I think Tom A. had some video showing the 5ft-7ft difference. I'd rather be lower with a more organized deployment any day.

Re: [base283] Primary stow and openings
When I review the video (and I do have quite a lot of it), I can tell the difference between a canopy opening with and without the locking stow, but I cannot tell any difference between a tight and loose locking stow, or between different types of stow bands.
